As a distinguished agenda of the Pre-Event Indonesia International Geothermal Workshop (IIGW) 2026, we present the "Oasis Montaj Fundamentals of Basin Modelling" workshop. This comprehensive session is designed to provide attendees with a robust theoretical foundation and practical proficiency in utilizing Seequent's Oasis Montaj for geothermal applications. Through expert-led instruction, participants will explore real-world case studies demonstrating how this industry-leading software has been successfully applied across the globe. 

The training will specifically focus on the core functionalities of Oasis Montaj in executing comprehensive basin modelling. Attendees will learn how to seamlessly ingest, process, and visualize multidisciplinary datasets encompassing geology, geochemistry, geophysics, and reservoir engineering within this single, powerful environment. Oasis montaj Basin Modelling for Geothermal Applications is a practical, hands-on training course designed for geothermal professionals including beginners to Oasis montaj who want to integrate geophysical and geological data to better understand basin architecture, heat distribution, and structural controls on fluid flow. 

The course demonstrates how Oasis montaj can be used as a central interpretation platform to combine gravity, magnetic, seismic, well, and surface geology data into consistent basin-scale models that support geothermal exploration and project evaluation. Step-by-step guidance and transferable, geothermal-relevant workflows help participants build confidence quickly, reduce subsurface uncertainty, strengthen conceptual models, and clearly communicate interpretation results within multidisciplinary geothermal teams.

About Toon Lim: 
Toon Lim is the Team Lead Geophysicist at Seequent APAC, with 19 years of experience specialising in the processing, analysis, imaging and interpretation of geophysical data across seismic, potential field, electromagnetic and DC resistivity methods. She is passionate about unlocking the value of geophysics for the energy sector, while also supporting adjacent fields including environmental, civil engineering and mining. A strong advocate for integrated interpretation and 3D visualisation, Toon focuses on connecting multi-physics datasets into clear, decision-ready subsurface insights.
